External Notes
Ideal size of tissue required: 5x5x10mm core. Sample must be fixed and sent in 70% alcohol. Formalin must not be used as a fixative as this will affect fluorescent staining. Under no circumstances should the bone biopsy be decalcified.
Patient Preparation
Tetracycline dosing of the patient is required for dynamic histomorphometry.
