Description

Albumin is the most sensitive for low levels of protein, and therefore is the preferred test for detection of protein in the urine. Protein:creatinine ratio (PCR) should be used in pregnancy and in conditions where non-albumin proteinuria is suspected.


Indications

Patients with diabetes and kidney disease and for the detection of proteinuria. ACR should be used with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) to stage chronic kidney disease.

Early morning urine, no preservative, 2 mL
