Description

Do not leave the sample at ambient temperature for more than 2 days.


Indications

It is rare to require a H.pylori test and routine MC&S on the same sample. If both are required please make the reasons clear on the request form.

Three times per week


External Notes

Antiobiotics, Protein pump inhibitors and Bismuth preparations are knwo to supress the growth of H.pylori. Stool sampling must be performed not earlier than 2 weeks after the termination of ingestion of protein pump inhibitors and bismuth preparations and 4 weeks after the termination of antibiotics. NB. The H.pylori antibody test is no longer available.
