Indications

Returning travellers from High Risk areas with respiratory symptoms. Close contacts of confirmed cases.


Sample Type

Sputum, Throat /Nose swabs (green topped viral swab)

Within 8 hours


Testing Frequency

As required


External Notes

This assay is performed on an urgent basis as required. Must be discussed with a Virology consultant prior to sending samples. A separate throat swab is required for routine respiratory PCR testing.
