Ideally samples to be fixed in phosphate buffered glutaraldehyde, but if already processed to wax blocks, retrieval of sample from wax block is possible, although this can affect interpretation. Fixation of specimens for EM should be immediate. Deliver specimens promptly to RHH lab. Blood samples should be delivered same day.
