Suspicion of premature red cell destruction (haemolysis), to monitor response to treatment or recovery from bone marrow suppression.

Whole blood (EDTA 4.0ml Lavender)

External Notes

Analyses are performed by automated instruments. A request for reticulocytes can be made on an FBC sample that is less than 48 hours old, ideally on fresh samples.
