Acting Lead Laboratory Manager - Histopathology
Rachel joined Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Laboratory Medicine in 2006 as a Trainee Biomedical Scientist where she specialised in Histopathology, completing her higher qualifications and gaining Chartered Scientist status. In September 2022 Rachel was appointed as the Lead Lab Manager for Histopathology.
Rachel has a longstanding interest in scientific staff education, training and professional development. She held the post of Histopathology Training Officer for several years before becoming Deputy Laboratory Manager for the RHH Histopathology Service in 2016.
She holds PGCert in Health and Social Care Leadership, and IBMS Certificate of Expert Practice in Training.
