Richard has over 18 years of experience working in the fields of Biochemistry and Immunology. Richard has a particular interest in quality control, evidence-based quality control systems and vitamin analysis.
Richard gained his degree in Sheffield in 2003 and began as a Trainee Biomedical Scientist acquiring state registration in 2005. After registration Richard undertook further education and completed the Specialist Registration Portfolio and an MSc in Pathological Sciences.
Before joining STH in 2022, Richard worked in Senior Roles in both the Biochemistry and Immunology Departments at Rotherham District General Hospital and in 2018 became the Lead Biomedical Scientist for Biochemistry. In this position Richard was involved in large projects including LIMS and instrument replacements.
